Back story

BOOST team development training programme evolved from Confidence Plus, created to help build resilience and growth in the Scottish economy

A steering group from Diageo, IBM, Marks & Spencer and Standard Life helped shape Confidence Plus. We then piloted the programme with private, public and third sector organisations

Participants from Right Track, The Richmond Fellowship, Pilton Community Health Project and Voluntary Action East Renfrewshire attended four one day modules; 'Confident Individuals', 'Engaging work', 'Meaningful Relationships' and 'Confident Organisations'

Here are some of their comments:

We are keen to adapt the materials and train our service users in this. We can merge some of these techniques with existing training

We will pilot the first module with our staff members and then adapt the materials to the needs of our service users

This has helped me to look at my existing practice, at why I carry it out the way I do.

This has allowed me space to identify how I can improve, for both my personal and professional development.

I have used a lot of the learning and discussions the course has evoked to identify how it can be implemented into the organisation as part of its ethical approach to delivering services and meeting the requirements of the staff, board members and volunteers.

People > Positivity > Performance

training workshopOur ethos is simple. People make the difference for success, or failure. When people have a sense of well-being they tend to perform best. So we show them how to increase positive emotions and attitudes. Research tells us which techniques produce effective and meaningful change. We choose the best tools to ensure you get the best results - confident staff working together in a culture of mutual trust and well-being, guided by positive leaders who provide clear direction and meaning
